Constance “Connie” Marie Pritchett was the daughter of Herald and Maxine Hancock. Connie was born on February 9th, 1965 and passed away on February 25th, 2026; she had just had her 61st birthday.
Connie grew up in a little town in East Texas named LaRue. Connie was the 5th youngest in a family of seven. She grew up in a military household where everyone had to share the work load. Connie’s main chore was doing dishes where she developed a keen hatred to washing silverware in a household of 9.
Connie enjoyed listening to Elvis and Alan Jackson on the radio and collecting their memorabilia. Connie moved away after she was married to her husband. Connie had four children Haley, Brandy, Alicia and Lucas. When Connie was young, she conveyed when she grew up, she wanted to be a Mama, and a Mama to many she was.
People Connie mothered knew she loved the Dallas Cowboys and reminisced to her youngest child, Lucas about the glory days of the Triplets and Roger the Dodger. People knew you could find Connie watching SUV and her being convinced Mariska Hargitay and her were friends. Connie could also be found with her middle child and best friend Alicia making jokes and belly laughing. The two were inseparable at times and always there for each other.
Connie never found a sweet treat she did not like. She was also a huge fan of her daughter Brandy’s chicken enchiladas. Connie also single handily kept the stock in Dr.Pepper afloat.
Connie never met a stranger and was a real human being, not perfect but real. She knew her ability to tell a joke or just call and talk to you could make your day better, which it always did.
Connie is survived by her siblings Teddy, Pat and Denice. Denice helped provide care for Connie as she became ill in recent years. Also, her children Brandy, Alicia and Lucas Pritchett. Who also shared the responsibility for caring for her. Her grandchildren Ariana, Tristan, Isabel, Jazzlynn and Anthony. In addition, many nieces and nephews to whom they said “Aunt Connie was the coolest Aunt they had.”
Connie loved her family with her whole soul. The love and laughter she poured into them will last with them the remainder of their lives.
Connie will be joining in eternity her first Child Haley who was stillborn, her siblings Mary Ellen, Leslie, David and her parents Herald and Maxine Hancock.
